In a tough job market like these days it can take an extended amount of time to find a job in your field. If you are still not working and bills are piling up you might need to take a part-time job, general labor job or something to hold you over. Don't get in over your head, plan ahead and know your financial situation at all times. Be realistic and know when it's time to pick up an alternative job. Always have a plan B.

You might find out new facts about the position that interest you more, you are networking and you are gaining valuable interviewing experience. Don't pass up opportunities as you never know what may come from them.
