Treat Your Job Search Like a Job

For most people when you lose a job the most important thing at that time is to find a new job.  It takes times to find a decent job and the more effort you put towards your search the better off you will be.  Treat your job search as a job itself.  Keep a set schedule of when you will work on your resume and cover letter, when you will make follow up phone calls, when you will search internet boards, time for networking meetings, etc.  Keeping a schedule will keep you on track, keep you busy and hopefully find that job you have always been dreaming of.
